Casa Massino

Despite having only a thousand inhabitants, the small Massino Visconti, situated on the gentle heights of the Vergante, is a well known and famous village. Just opposite Ranco, it lies on the lake above Lesa. The view is simply enviable and in earlier times Massino was also rich in vineyards and olive groves that stretched along the hills in a lucious way.

In addition to the Castello Visconti di San Vito, the town has many other sights to offer, with magnificent frescoes from the 15th and 16th centuries. The Romanesque church of San Michele with its famous leaning bell tower from the 11th century and the parish church of the Purificazione di Maria Vergine are worth mentioning.
